     This is to remind me of my masterpieces and share it with others.

     Yes it is because it shows my development in this subject. It also serves as a memory.

I am a big fan of NBA and one of my hobbies is playing basketball. I usually keep myself updated in this topic through the internet. Recently, the name Jeremy Lin is the name I always hear every day in the NBA. This article is one of the articles I read about Jeremy Lin. For me, he is a very amazing person and I have many reasons for my opinion. One is that he was able to be known in NBA even if he has a Chinese or Taiwanese blood, and that is very rare in NBA. I consider him as an inspiration in basketball because he never gave up his dream to become a player in that sport. Even though he had a rough start during his first few years in his NBA career, he was able to be successful at the end. He kept practicing and practicing until he was able to become known in the sport. In addition, he was able to set new records in NBA history. He also never forgets to praise and thank God for what has happened to him even during interviews. Lastly, Jeremy Lin was able to influence other people like he’s former teammates during his highschool career to strive in doing their best and what they want. 

Vice Ganda is one of my favorite celebrity comedian in the entertainment business. I like downloading his videos because it entertains me and relieves me from stress. I chose this video of him because this video shows that not everything that comedians joke about are funny for the audience. Some may get it right away, and some may not. All of us have different tastes and knowledge, which makes us react different from one another. In this video, Vice Ganda cracked a joke but no one reacted. It’s one proof that comedians are not perfect at entertaining people but they are great for the business. There are also other comedians that I like. Some examples are Jose and Wali from GMA Channel 7. In addition, another reason why I chose this video is because it shows that sometimes, the joke is not the funny part of the scene but it is what happens after.                         

I chose another NBA article for my reading log this week because the article I chose was a big news in the business. Ricky Rubio is currently one of the rising stars in the NBA. He is still young and on his rookie season in basketball. Injuries are a major problem for a player because it may even lead them to the end of their careers depending on the injury. One of the major injuries that is considered a career-ending injury is ACL, which is an injury on the knee. The article I chose is about Ricky Rubio possibly having an ACL during his game earlier. This is striking because a player who is only on his first year on his career might end already if the injury is confirmed. I am a fan of Ricky Rubio because his passing skills are amazing and difficult to do. 

I chose another article about the NBA Basketball because another amazing game happened today. Career high records were set by two players, one per each team. Kevin Love, who had the best performance in the game, was able to set a new record on his career for the number of points in a game but still lost in the end. The striking part of this article and the main reason why I chose this article is that no matter how much better we performed, things won’t necessarily turn out the way we want it to be. In addition to that, this shows how basketball is a very difficult sport but exciting. These are also some of my reasons why I love the game of basketball.

This video is our group’s video for ENGLCOM about Grammar errors that can be seen on the outside world. We made this video to show and correct this errors. These are important because it can mean different if used incorrectly

       I was able to achieve some of my goals for grammar and reading this term. I enjoyed the grammar and reading classes of ENGLCOM because the professor allowed us to speak freely and share some anecdotes or experiences that happened recently every class. Also, I was able to practice my English language due to this class especially when asked for examples. I also learned something new in this class like the use of hedges. I was also able to read articles about different topics and was able to express myh reactions through the reading logs.

            The accomplishment that I am most proud of is the video making of Common Language Errors. I had fun in this component because I was able to see the errors not only inside the campus but also on the outside world. I saw most of the errors in the area assigned to us in NSTP. In addition, I was able to practice my language skills into correcting these errors. There are also errors on the internet.

            For me, I guess I need to improve on my reading because I am only excited to write about my favorite topics or hobbies. In this case, most of my reading logs were about basketball. I want to have and learn a wider range of articles.

            I learned from ENGLCOM is that there are rules in language that needs to be followed, for example, the use of adverbs or hedges. But also in ENGLCOM that I realized that these rules are being disregarded nowadays because of the sound they produce or other reasons. As time pass by, language is improving and affected by the people.

            One of the difficulties that I encountered in creating this portfolio is the other component of ENGLCOM. That component has so many requirements. Moreover, I like the reading and grammar component compared to the other component because the class is more fun. I overcame this obstacle by implementing my interests into ths portfolio and being honest to what I put.
